Driver's License Office The County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for issuing Idaho driver’s licenses, Idaho State identification cards and driver’s license permits. The office is located at 145 7th Avenue East, Gooding. Office hours are from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. No CDL testing after 3 p.m. No Class D testing after 4 p.m.. Marine Department The County Sheriff’s Office has a marine department for emergencies and river patrol. Boat inspections are also available by contacting the Sheriff's Office during normal business hours. Concealed Weapons Application can be made for Concealed Weapons Permits through the Sheriff's Office. New permits require an application, fingerprints and fees paid and are good for five (5) years. Renewals require application and fees and are also good for five (5) years. Some proof of firearms training is necessary for new permits. A training course is sometimes available at various times throughout the year. Please check with the office for details.
