The City of Las Vegas Detention center is located at 3200 Stewart Avenue, and is the main facility for individuals that are arrested on a misdemeanor offense. The detention center is open for visitation on both Saturday and Sundays at various times based on the location and gender of the inmate. Legal visits can be done on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. When visiting the website for the detention center, users are able to search for inmates, obtain information about bail as well as release information. Inmates can be searched for by first and last name or inmate id. Bail can be posted at the detention center through the pedestrian gate. Any further information can be obtained by calling the facility. An inmate's property may be released between the hours of seven to nine a.m. and eleven p.m. to one a.m. and can be requested by an outside person or by the inmate. Any money released by the inmate can be used towards bail money. Release times are not given out and vary each day. Males and females are released at different locations depending on the time of day.
