The Orange County Corrections Department serves Orange County, Florida and includes the operation of the 3rd largest jail system within the state. More than 1,800 employees and 1,000 certified correctional officers maintain a safe and professional environment for Orlando jail inmates, citizens and visitors. Due to the high level of professionalism maintained by the Orange County Florida Corrections Department, the department has achieved national accreditation from the American Correctional Association. There are four facilities within the Orange County jail system, including the Main Facility, which is the department’s largest jail, the Direct Supervision Facilities, the Booking and Release Center and the Work Release Center.
