Here at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department we are proud of our Western heritage, but we are just as proud of our recent accomplishments. Our Department is one of the leading law enforcement agencies in the region – foremost in many areas of technology, and on the cutting edge when it comes to advanced community policing techniques. I believe our training facilities rank with the best, and our employee family is second to none. It's my belief that this website will give you some idea how extraordinary these people are, and how effective our policies and programs continue to be. All law enforcement agencies face many challenges and ours is no exception: increased threats from domestic and international terrorism, increases in technology-based crimes, reduced federal grant expenditures, and ever-rising costs of personnel and benefits, require us to think creatively and resourcefully. The challenges are real, but so are the creativity and dedicated efforts of our first-rate staff. This Department continues to grow and succeed.
