The staff at the Prentiss County Jail is supervised by Jail Administrator/Investigator Brian Taylor and Deputy Jail Administrator Ricky Peebles. Both Taylor and Peebles are certified Deputy Sheriffs. The jail has the capacity to house approximately 85 inmate including county inmates, state inmates and inmates from other muncipalities within Prentiss County. We also are very fortunate to have a Joint State/County Inmate Work Center that houses as many as 18 State Inmates that are low risk inmates. These inmates eligibility is determined by several factors; they must have two (2) years or less remaining on their sentence and can't be convicted of a violent crime or sex crime.
