The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is supervised by Sheriff Jim Neil. The Sheriff’s Office and the Corrections Division work with one another to manage the adult detention facilities in Hamilton County. The three detention facilities within the Hamilton County jail system are ranked within the top 25 largest jail systems in the United States. The largest jail, the Hamilton County Justice Center, is the primary facility, housing 1,240 inmates, while the Reading Road Facility houses 172 inmates. The jail system also offers a comprehensive treatment program, Woodburn Ave., for DUI offenders, which is capable of housing 60 detainees. The Corrections Division provides for the general welfare of the Hamilton County inmates by offering numerous accredited services, including health, dental and psychiatric treatment.
